Tying up with Soros Real Estate Investors

RISA Partners signed the contract with Soros Real Estate Investors C.V. (”SREI”) in connection with real estate investments in Japan and established a strategic joint marketing venture.

This strategic joint investment will be made through a newly created platform contributed by RISA, Atsushi Imuta, CEO of RISA and SREI. This platform invests in medium to large real estate and real estate related assets throughout Japan on an “opportunistic” basis. Both SREI’s macro view and financial engineering techniques and RISA’s micro expertise in Japanese real estate and various network will be the key success factor of the Joint venture. The total investment could be no less than US$1 billion. RISA will be responsible for asset management services for the platform for the fee according to the size of investment.
Upon launching this project, RISA and SREI have established a strategic joint venture for the purpose of marketing real estate investment opportunities. By fully utilizing integrated resources owned by both parties, pursuing investment opportunities will be accelerated in an effective and efficient manner.

The first transaction for the platform was successfully concluded today. RISA is to enhance the value of this well located property at Shinjuku through its asset management capacity to get steady and good return on a medium–term basis.
