“North Tohoku Region Revitalization Fund”

RISA Partners, Inc. and its affiliated company, IR Servicing Inc., in conjunction with Kita-Nippon Bank, established a corporate restructuring fund “North Tohoku Region Revitalization Fund,” which targets mid-small businesses rooted in Tohoku region.

“North Tohoku Region Revitalization Fund” is one of region specific corporate restructuring funds that RISA Partners, Inc. has been promoting. The fund is designed to facilitate regional banks to process NPLs (non-performing loans) and at the same time help heavily indebted local companies recover from distress quickly. By purchasing the loans through the fund, RISA Partners, Inc. is enable to negotiate with other lenders more effectively. RISA Partners, Inc. also is to be involved in planning and executing restructuring plans for the distressed companies, thus further facilitates the restructuring process.

RISA Partners, Inc. plans to invite more regional financial institutions to participate in the fund and gradually handle more corporate restructuring cases in this area.
