Kaiho Corporate Recovery Fund Established
Oct 1st, 2004
RISA Partners, Inc. and its affiliated company, IR Servicing Inc., in conjunction with Okinawa Kaiho Bank, established a corporate restructuring fund “Kaiho Corporate Recovery Fund,” which targets small and medium businesses rooted in Okinawa prefecture.
The Kaiho Corporate Recovery Fund is one of region specific corporate restructuring funds that RISA Partners, Inc. has been promoting. The fund is designed to facilitate regional banks to process non-performing loans and at the same time help heavily indebted local companies recover from distress quickly.
As for the servicer, we plan to share part of the services with Okinawa’s only loan servicing company in order to provide closely knit services with the region.
This fund will determine appropriate investors and investment capital per selection of the initiatives. As we seek investment targets, we will simultaneously attain participations from interested financial institutions in the region and build our list of initiatives. RISA Partners and other domestic investors are expected to participate, and we plan on calling on other financial institutions in Okinawa and Sothern Kyushu area.
