Our Investment Banking Business provides expert corporate-related services in three main areas: financial advisory, corporate revitalization support, and corporate solutions

  1. Financial advisory
    • Provides expert advisory services in M&As, funding procurement, corporate valuations and due diligence, etc.
    • Large number of sale advisory projects for hotels, ryokan, golf courses, mainly proposed by regional financial institutions
    • Strategic subsidiary Frontier Management Inc., which was established to strengthen our capabilities, ranked No. 5 on the Thomson M&A advisory league table; we will steadily improve our performance to further boost our market presence.
  2. Corporate revitalization support
    • Provides personnel and management expertise to companies seeking to revitalize, mainly through Frontier Management Inc.
    • With few participants in the area of corporate revitalization support that are able to provide the services themselves, there has been an increasing number of project proposals to RISA Group, which has a strong track record
  3. Corporate solutions
    • Corporate solutions comprehensively combines RISA’s accumulated financial and real estate resources to provide tailor-made solutions to the problems facing clients
    • With experience going beyond Japan to include cross-border projects, we have the framework to cater to a wide range of needs

Investment policy and achievements

Loan asset-related services within our Investment Banking Business consist of two main specialized services: loan asset due diligence and loan servicing.

  1. Loan assets due diligence
    • RIFAS, Inc. (President: Atsushi Imuta), a 100% subsidiary of RISA Partners, Inc., provides loan asset assessment and due diligence services within the RISA Group and to external companies
    • RIFAS has accumulated its extensive data and expertise over a long period of time, having provided services in over 30,000 cases
    • Many of the services RIFAS provides are to financial institutions—a testament to its reliability
  2. Loan servicing
    • RISA Loan Servicing, Inc., a 100% subsidiary of RISA Partners, Inc. (President: Atsushi Imuta; Minister of Justice Permission No. 65) provides loan asset management and collection services within the RISA Group and to external companies
    • Extensive collection experience and expertise with loan asset services provided in over 7,000 cases to a total amount of over ¥900 billion
    • RISA Loan Servicing, Inc. is a highly trusted servicer, having been assigned the commercial mortgage special servicer rating of CSS2-(JPN) by Fitch Ratings Ltd.

Investment policy and achievements

  • Real estate-related services with our Investment Banking Business involves a real estate advisory service, specifically the asset management of real estate held by clients, real estate brokerage services, real estate due diligence, market research, etc.
  • We have a strong channel to foreign investors through the global network of our affiliate AtisReal Group, a major real estate consulting company
  • We have extensive experience in providing comprehensive support to foreign investors investing in Japan, from project launch to exit
  • We also have experience in the asset management of warehouse properties of businesses in Japan
